Saif’s film again delayed December 22, 2009

Dinesh Vijan’s Agent Vinod which has Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles has again been delayed because of the circumstances following it.

At first the film was supposed to go on the floors in July, but that time Saif was promoting ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Then after some time he got busy in promoting ‘Kurbaan‘ and after that Kareena flew abroad for the remake of ‘Stepmom‘. So the film got delayed to January, and now the news is that the film will begin in the second half of the next year.

Because of such situations some of the crew members have opted out to work for other viable projects. According to a member of crew, “Some of us have moved on since there is no guarantee of when exactly the film will take off. Meanwhile, we are taking up some other projects.”

However Producer Dinesh Vijan has not commented anything. Its time that Saif learns a little bit of time management !

Saif versus Shahid December 18, 2009

The title speaks for itself.The war is between Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor, and one would guess,the resaon behind all of this will be Bebo, but thats not the case at all ! The two actors are fighting for this year’s top spot of Best Actor Award in the Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards.

Saif Ali Khan’s Love Aaj Kal was a romantic flick loved by love birds and Shahid Kapoor’s Kaminey too has done well at the box office. Apart from the two, the other actors in the race for the best actor award are Aamir Khan for Ghajini, Ranbir Kapoor for Wake Up Sid and Sharukh Khan for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

As such Love Aaj Kal and Kaminey have been nominated in most of the categories so it would be a tough battle between the actors’ films for the awards.

Saif miffed by media December 16, 2009

Actor Saif Ali Khan is miffed by the media. In a recent case he lost his mind because of some stories carried by a popular Mumbai daily. He has clamored that the media is encroaching in his private life.

According to an article carried by that Mumbai tabloid, there are alleged references to certain private text messages from her girl friend Kareena Kapoor. Expressing his aggression he said, “I felt ‘Mid Day’ was a fairly decent newspaper but I am disappointed with the paper for running that article and it has got a bit yellower for me.”

He went on criticizing the media, saying that the media is irresponsible and do not respects the privacy of film stars. His ire is justifiable too.

Saif on religion December 14, 2009

Although with the image of romantic actor, Saif Ali Khan in his recent flick ‘Kurbaan‘ spoke about terrorism and Islam which was film’s central theme. Born to a Muslim house he is loyal to his family, and says, “Not every long-bearded mullah is an evil person.”

His concern is that now-a-days when a woman is seen in supermarket in America with a Hijab, it is believed that she might be carrying a bomb. Therefore he hates the way religion has come under a cloud. He says, “Religion has been a point of friction, action and violence since the dawn of time and this is the way things are right now.”

According to him the trouble with religion is that it expects conversion. But he doesn’t believe in that. Therefore he would never ask his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor to convert as do they get married.

Narrow escape of Saif December 11, 2009

Actor Saif Ali Khan had a narrow escape when a glass door of a store smashed near him. He with his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was on a recent trip in Delhi for the promotion of ‘Kurbaan’. They both got frightened with the incident. They were then rushed out of the premise immediately under the cover of security.

The duo was at PVR Ambience in Gurgaon for the film’s promotion. More than 75,000 people had come to see the couple. As such security was very tight but because of the pulling and pushing of crowds, most of the team got separated. According to a source, “A few people from the crowds broke through the security circle and rushed towards the stars. In the ensuing melee, they pushed against a huge glass door of a shop, which gave away under pressure. The stars were surrounded by bouncers and were rushed to a waiting car and nothing untoward happened.”

But for Saif it was a trivial incident. Shrugging off its memories he said, “Naturally, there will be crowds because Kareena and I were there.”

Saif geared up for ‘Race 2’ December 9, 2009

There is good news for the fans of film ‘Race’ as the work on its sequel will be begin by actor Saif Ali Khan soon. As per the reports the actor is looking forward to start on ‘Race 2′ as produced by Ramesh Taurani.

However the producer is tight lipped on the female cast as far as Saif’s girlfriend Kareena Kapoor is concerned. Along with Saif, actor Anil Kapoor has been finalized too. According to Saif, he is yet to sign on the dotted line. Even now the makers are working on the script, but the actor is game for the film. He says, “I should be able to give my final consent once the entire ground work is done. I am fine with the basic idea and now want to see a completely fleshed out script.”

The film is expected to be bigger and better than the first part with more of twists and turns.

Give us a chance to grow as actors: Saif December 5, 2009

Actor Saif Ali Khan is completely devoted to the work he is currently doing. The news is that along with actress Kareena Kapoor he has joined forces to produce his upcoming action film ‘Agent Vinod’. He clamors that the film would give them a chance to grow as actor.

The couple has once again paired on big screen for bollywood action film as directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film is considering its competition with Hollywood movie like Mr and Mrs Smith, which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Earlier the speculations were that actress Deepika Padukone will play the female lead role, but with Kareena’s request she was granted the role. Confirming Kareena’s role Saif said, “She will kick butt better than all the other girls in our industry, that’s for sure.”

The movie is due for release sometime next year.

“Yes, I have no work after Agent Vinod”, this is the statement of actor Saif Ali Khan who is currently working on his home production flick ‘Agent Vinod’ and has no other projects in hand. His latest film was ‘Kurbaan’ with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, which also could not make much success on the box office.

Since he has no other projects in hand, therefore he talks only about his film ‘Agent Vinod’. He says that in the film his character is a real one not just like wannabe James Bond. The work on the character is still on and also he is losing weight for it.

Describing about himself he said that he had never dreamt of becoming an actor, but after doing a lot of films he has grown a lot. He loves to take different roles and believes in experimentation. Also the time had come when he thought that he was wasting time in industry but some of his films changed his perception.

Saif flies to Australia November 30, 2009

Actress Kareena Kapoor is in Sydney to shoot for Karan Johar’s film ‘Stepmom‘. Recently the duo was seen together in the flick ‘Kurbaan‘, but there on screen love was not able to garner the box office success. This time Saif was missing her badly so he got a few days off to him, and went to meet her. Although the actress will be in Mumbai in the second week of December, but the actor couldn’t wait to see her.

This B-Town couple is obsessed with each other and as and when they get the opportunity to spend quality time they do not miss it. Their on screen and off screen love has created ripples in the industry and among the audiences, but they don’t have any marriage plans yet.
