Saif to team up with Hollywood February 9, 2010

Saif Ali Khan might have had just one release as a producer but now the actor is looking forward to collaborate with leading Hollywood studios like Fox, Sony and Warner. Saif Ali Khan says that for him quality matters and not quantity to drive his business.

Saif also asserted that meetings are on with many companies and at present they are very happy and comfortable working with Eros in terms of the finance and distribution.

He also said that teaming up with Hollywood studios is their big plan and for this they have met the studios to see how they can forge a partnership. When asked what kind of films Saif is looking forward to make with these international production houses, he said he needs international stories to make globally appealing movies.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and now the reciever of Padma Bhushan is contributing to the society by agreeing to become the brand ambassador of WAVE (Women Against Violence and Empowerment),an organisation that works to stop violence against women and works towards women empowerment.

Chote Nawab will also perform at an event organised by WAVE and co-ordinated by the organization and a TV channel.The event will be held on February 20 and will showcase the performances by Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif,Harman Baweja and other stars.Saif is not only going to perform at the event but the actor also comes for the creative meetings held for the event and puts forth his suggestions to make it a big success.Carving Dreams,an agency that manages Saif’s business and brands told the media that it is due to Saif’s engagement in this which has helped WAVE initiate the whole process.

The plans on whether to take the event to other cities besides Mumbai,however,depends on the success of the show.

Saif decided to become the face of WAVE immediately after the agency suggested him to do so.He in a way wanted to say thank you the woman in his life,Kareena Kapoor and wanted to give something back to her.This was surely one of the nicest thing one could do.

A press conference on Feb 6th will reveal the information on the stars who will be a part of WAVE.

Saif refuses to work with Katrina February 3, 2010

Remember that amazing chemistry Saif Ali Khan and Katrina in Race? Well you are not going to see that this time around in the sequel to the film titled Race 2. Neither Katrina nor Bipasha will be seen in the movie.Replacing them are the actresses Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.

Sources tell the media that Katrina has not been chosen for the film as Saif has refused to work with girlfriend Bebo’s rival and does not want to give rise to any sort of rumours.Bipasha,too has been left out this time because of the amazing chemistry she and Saif shared both on and off screen.

Lets hope Deepika and Priyanka maintain good relations with Bebo until the film hits the cinema screens.

Saif feels he doesn’t deserve Padama Shri February 3, 2010

People were quite surprised when Saif Ali Kahn got the Padama Shri. He
is one of the youngest actors to have been honoured with Padma Shri.
Many were heard complaining but they are not alone as the actor
himself is pretty surprised and hush-hush about the whole thing.

Even though Saif has accepted the title with all humility he feels
that there are many more people out there who truly deserved this more
than him. He feels humbled by the honour and promises to live up to
it. National honours have been bagged by veterans such as Amitabh
Bachchan (Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan), Rajnikanth (Padma Bhushan) and
Kamal Hassan (Padma Shri) and Saif feels there is still time for him
to reach where these names are.

Receiving a Padma Shri turned Saif Ali Khan emotional and he thanked all directros he had worked with till date. He also went on to thank his family and the entire industry for their support and encouragement.

He mentioned the names of Imtiaz Ali, Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, Ramesh Taurani, Farhan Akhtar, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Siddharth Anand, Kunal Kohli and Vishal Bhardwaj and attributed his success to the faith that they had in him. Saif’s unforgettable movies include Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Ek Hasina Thi, Hum Tum, Parineeta, Salaam Namaste, Omkara and Love Aaj Kal.

Saif’s Agent Vinod faces financial issues January 27, 2010

Saif Ali Khan upcoming production venture Agent Vinod seems to be stuck in the pipeline due to financial reasons.

The film’s budget had been estimated to be 65 crores but as happens with most of the films,the film’s expenditure has been calculated to be much more than that.So much so that both Saif and his partner are finding it difficult to pool in money for the film’s further expenses.

With Saif’s desire to give the movie a James Bond look and include hot cars,latest gadgets,designer clothes,the expenditures are crossing the budget so formed.Saif wants to shoot at places like Venice and Prague which are difficult places to get permission to shoot in.

Saif’s ladylove Kareena is proving to be high maintenance too.Kareena look is turning out be an expensive one.Designer houses like Valentino,Chanel and Gucci are being contacted for Bebo’s outfits in the movie to give her a Bond Babe look.All that requires a great deal of money which another problem posing in front of the film makers.

Money is not an easy thing to get access of,in this time, where recession has taken its toll on Bollywood.Even though Saif gave a box office success Love Aaj Kal,producers are not willing to shell out a lot of money.Moreover the financiers are skeptical of the movie turning out to be a hit as Saif and Kareena’s pairing in their earlier movies -Kurbaan and Tashan did not work well.

Kareena on the other hand hasn’t signed any film after Karan Johar’s Step Mom and SRK’s Ra1 due to her commitment to beau’s movie Agent Vonod.

Will Agent Vinod see light at the end of this dark tunnel?… Only time will tell !

The audience simply loves the Kareena and Saif pair. The two have
already created a lot of buzz in the media and on screen ever since
they came together. But the fans had not seen them perform together on
stage. Finally, their fans got to see them perform together at the
Stardust Awards ceremony in Mumbai. Saif and Kareena blazed the stage
and took the audience by surprise. The audience erupted and everybody
cheered them on.

Among shining cars and gorgeous bikes Saif Ali Khan expressed his heart felt desire of owning an IPL team at the Auto Expo. There was a sea of people who had come to see the actor and security personel had a tough time managing the crowd.

After professing his love for cars the actor replied to a question that if he was to ever buy an IPL team he would choose between Gurgaon and Mumbai.

His Gurgaon preference is because of Pataudi Palace, which the actor simplly loves and Mumbai is because it is the place from where he earns his bread and butter. Well then it should not come as a surprise is Saif buys an IPL team in future

Guess who broke his promise to his darling girlfriend of keeping away from a certain something ? Oh alright,I’ll tell you !

At a recent party to celebrate Hrithik Roshan’s and Farhan Akhtar birthday,while all the celebs were having a time of their life,there was Saif Ali Khan who was smoking away his,in the air ! The actor had been hospitalized a few months ago due to his excessive smoking habits and got his darling Bebo worried sick.Although Saif had promised girlfriend Kareena that he would quit smoking and did manage to, for three whole weeks,convinced Kareena at the bash to let him light up a few cigarettes.

Promises are meant to be broken-is something people take too seriously ! Now don’t they Bebo?
